His research

During his career Prof Landman performed significant academic research and he supervised the work of numerous masters' and doctoral candidates. His important contribution to educational research methodology is well known. The large number of publications from his pen bears witness of his interest and expertise in the field of research.

His strong affinity with research continued after his retirement. From June 1988 to June 1990 he occupied a temporary full-time position as lecturer/researcher at the University of Pretoria. He joined the Institute of Educational Research of the University of South Africa in July 1990 and worked here as part-time senior researcher until December 1993.
